Central & North – 17 to 19 dives
An 8-day cruise allows you to explore central and northern Raja Ampat. The itinerary includes diving around iconic locations such as Yenbuba Village, Cape Kri, Sawandarek, Wayag and Aljui Bay in the far north of Raja Ampat.
As you make your way back toward the central region, you may visit Yangefo, Arborek, Friwen and Mioskon before returning to Sorong.
This is not a complete list, and additional sites may be explored along the way. As you can see, each dive offers distinct landscapes, topography, and marine life, ensuring an exciting and varied experience throughout the cruise.
The program is also complemented by several land-based excursions, including visits to the Piaynemo and Wayag viewpoints, early-morning birdwatching tours, village walks, and time to freely explore the mangroves and lagoons by kayak or paddleboard.
Central & South – 20 to 22 dives
If your travel dates allow for a 9-day cruise, you can explore both central and southern Raja Ampat. The southern region, known as Misool, is a remote area made up of numerous islands and islets, renowned for its soft corals and rich marine life. Due to longer sailing distances, a minimum of 9 days and 8 nights is required. In the central area, diving typically includes sites around Piaynemo, Yangeffo, Arborek and Yenbuba. Continuing south to Misool allows you to explore spectacular dive sites including:
- 4 Kings (Wayil), with massive underwater pinnacles where manta rays, napoleon wrasse, and large snappers often gather
- Magic Mountain & Yiliet Kecil, both known for their huge gorgonian sea fans and abundant reef life, including turtles, reef sharks, barracudas
- Fiabacet Ridge, for pelagic fish and turtles along with stunning coral formations
- Pele’s Playground, famous for its schools of anchovies that attract pelagic predators
- Kaleidoscope, for its black corals and spectacular multi-coloured soft corals and gorgonian fans
- Neptune’s Sea Fans, known for its impressive concentration of giant gorgonian sea fans
- Boo Window, an iconic site with distinctive window-like swim-throughs
- Anchovy, where mobula rays move through dense schools of anchovies
- Nudirock, a favourite for nudibranch enthusiasts
- Tank Rock, known for colourful soft corals and large schools of fish
Once again, this list is not complete, and additional dive sites may be explored along the way depending on conditions.
The program also includes land excursions along the way, such as visits to the Piaynemo Viewpoint and Jellyfish Lake, village walks, and time to freely explore the mangroves and lagoons by kayak or paddleboard.
Central, North and South – 24 to 27 dives
Finally, if your travel dates allow for a 12-day cruise, you can explore the full Raja Ampat region, from the central area to both the northern and southern zones. This is a very special itinerary offering a nice combination of the dive sites listed above, for a comprehensive underwater experience of the archipelago. No need to choose between north and south, as you experience it all in a single journey.
