Cruising for 8 days or longer: Central and Northern Raja Ampat … or … Central and Southern Raja Ampat … or … all of Raja Ampat
Central & North – 20 to 21 dives
An 8-day cruise allows you to explore central and northern Raja Ampat. The itinerary includes diving at world-class sites such as:
- Black Beauty, Algae Patch, and Happy Ending for macro-focused dives
- Manta Sandy, Mayhem, and Citrus Ridge for encounters with manta rays, pelagics, and schooling fish
- Pretty Shallows, Wofoh, Black Rock, and Eagle Rock for healthy and lively coral gardens
- Yeben Ridge and Melissa’s Garden, known for their high density of coral and fish species
- Barracuda Rock, Galaxy, and My Reef, featuring impressive soft corals, barracuda, wobbegongs, and blacktip reef sharks
- The slopes, walls, and seamounts of Keruo Channel, Batu Rufus, and Blue Magic.
This is not a complete list, and additional sites may be explored along the way. As you can see, each dive offers distinct landscapes, topography, and marine life, ensuring an exciting and varied experience throughout the cruise. The program is also complemented by a few land-based excursions, such as visits to the Piaynemo Viewpoint and the Kali Biru River.
Central & South – 23 to 24 dives
If your travel dates allow for a 9-day cruise, you can explore both central and southern Raja Ampat. The southern region, known as Misool, is a remote area made up of numerous islands and islets, renowned for its soft corals and rich marine life. Due to longer sailing distances, a minimum of 9 days and 8 nights is required. In the central area, diving includes sites such as Manta Sandy, Mayhem, Citrus Ridge, Melissa’s Garden, Keruo Channel, Batu Rufus, Galaxy, and My Reef (see descriptions above). Continuing south to Misool allows you to explore spectacular dive sites including:
- 4 Kings (Wayil), with massive underwater pinnacles where manta rays, napoleon wrasse, and large snappers often gather
- Neptune’s Sea Fans, known for its impressive concentration of giant gorgonian sea fans
- Boo Window, an iconic site with distinctive window-like swim-throughs
- Anchovy, where mobula rays move through dense schools of anchovies
- Nudirock, a favourite for nudibranch enthusiasts
- Whale Rock and Tank Rock, both known for colourful soft corals and large schools of fish
- Andiamo, where pygmy seahorses, hunting giant trevallies, and barracuda are often observed
Once again, this list is not complete, and additional dive sites may be explored along the way depending on conditions.
The program also includes a land excursion to the Piaynemo Viewpoint.
Central, North and South – 34 to 35 dives
Finally, if your travel dates allow for a 12-day cruise, you can explore the full Raja Ampat region, from the central area to both the northern and southern zones. This is a very special itinerary offering a nice combination of the dive sites listed above, for a comprehensive underwater experience of the archipelago. No need to choose between north and south, as you experience it all in a single journey.
Diving and snorkeling included. Private cabin with AC: Various categories available. Meals: Full board.
